Brinks is a black Schnauzer that was acquired through the Schnauzer Rescue Society after failing to fit into two other families. That was 1990, and he was 18 months old. His pedigree name is "Black Satin's Grand Slam", but you can't hardly call a dog that. His previous owners had named him "Pete" and that didn't seem to fit either. Since he was on the "brink" of being a three-time loser, and since he was our back-up security system (and the primary one is by Brinks), his new name seemed to fit. He seems quite happy with it.
Sadly, Brinks was put to sleep on June 27, 2002. He had been ill with unknown problems for about 6 months and had been treated by the best available vets. He will be sorely missed.
